Shrink sleeves are made of shrinkable PVC film, thickness of the film is usually 35 - 70 micron. Printing (flexoprinting up to 6 colors or gravure printing up to 10 colors) is applied on the inner side of the film. After printing the film is center sealed. Shrink sleeve is applied on the container (manually or automatically)and transfers to the shrink tunnel where shrinks under the influence of the heat, fully repeating the container shape. Container can me made of different material (glass, wood, plastic , tin etc)

Shrink sleeves have lots of advantages:

1. Information– bigger surface in comparison with common labels allows to show more information, pictures, promotional info.
2. Security – unique design and other means provides security from forgery and tamper evidence.
3. Beauty and resistance to external disturbance – hence printing is applied on the inner side, the picture does not suffer from friction, moisture etc.
4. UV protection – shrink sleeves elongate the product shelf life.
5. Flaws hiding – shrink sleeves covers the physical or technological flaws of the container like chips, damages, seams etc.
6. Special effects – able to print any metal-like color, matt, frost mist etc.
